a tuk tuk ride
Back to African public transportation! We have done a lot of walking, as well as riding on bicycle taxis and motorcycles. These are little 3 wheeled cars are called tuk tuks (in Kenya—they have different names elsewhere.) We can ride into town for about $1.20. We fit 5 in this one but that taxed its little engine a bit.
We're in Africa!
Our first order of business was to attend our organization’s 3 week orientation in Kenya. Here are some photos: neighbor kids enjoying a chameleon, Lami and Davis on a hike one afternoon and our “home” for these few weeks.
Leaving NY
We left NY four weeks ago for Kenya! A few days before we left we met up with Grandma Jill and Grandpa Ray who took us to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. A month later the girls still occasionally get “Supercalafragalisticexpialidocious” stuck in our heads.
