HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!
Tovicus Elamis
Residential to the Indian Ocean, from 32 – 40 lbs. Predatory on coconut and fish. Easily adapt to changes in environment.
Transportation
We have a couple of transportation options on our tiny island:
By foot, motorcycles, and the taxi.
Here is a picture of the taxi inside. It is a mini-bus outfitted to hold 16 people. You can catch them anywhere along the line, but the big tree is the main depot. This is our family on the way to our house.
Island Food: Hedgehog
Called landa, few things are loved more than this local delicacy. People occasionally run across them, and feel very fortunate (much as you may feel fortunate if you were to happen upon a box of fine Belgian Chocolates.)
Other people hunt them—going for a midnight trek through the forest, picking up hedgehogs, stuffing them in a sack, having a BBQ at home.
This one was being cleaned in the ocean… Sorry people who have queasy stomachs.
