Fishing

My girls are following in the great Davis tradition of fishing!  On Saturday we were on a biking trip when we noticed some fish in shallow water.  Lami got right in there and caught the biggest one.  We threw 5 back into the water, but one came home so that we can find out if carp really are inedible…

The answer waits in fillet form in our freezer…

Since we are talking about fishing...

I decided to find some old pictures of fishing…

Here’s Tovah with her first catch 7 years ago!

Island food in America

We found all our favorite foods in a supermarket in Ohio—except the coconut water was in cartons, the green coconuts were wrapped in plastic, the octopus was not moving, and the cooking bananas were marketed as flatulence-free!

Judo

Our kids were constantly wrestling in the living room at risk to body and sofa.  So I decided to take action and we (the girls and I) joined a judo club where they were able to terrorize the black belts with their mix of wrestling/clawing/bickering.  I’m not sure how much they learned, but they are pretty good at bowing now.

There is a subtle difference between when Jen picks the girls clothes and when they pick their own. Can you spot it?

Dayton Dragons

Our first baseball game!  We loved it so much we forgot to take pictures once we got past the gate!

People are getting smarter about April Fool's Day!

I hope you all had a good April Fool’s Day—it’s one of my favorite days!  This year we had over 100 replies to our email hoax about our 4.2 million dollar scarf—only 5 people were fooled—but we really appreciated the ethical advice they shared with us!
