Travels - Egypt with the girls 1
On our return to the US we stopped in Egypt on the way!
We were generously hosted by friends who let us stay in their flat, and we experienced Cairo from both the tourist side, and the local side…
On the local side we 1. ate pigeon, 2. learned to cross a street 14 lanes wide where motorcycles, cars, buses, horses and donkeys all jostle for space. The advice we were given was “just step out and trust that everyone will swerve around you.” 3. Marveled at a city that boasts 20 MILLION people, who all seem to live in brick high-rises.
